The starting point for your discoveries is the village Altenlotheim which won the contest of hessian villages in 2006.
You can reach towns like Frankenberg, Korbach, Bad Wildungen, Waldeck, Bad Arolsen or Frankenau within some minutes by car. Furthermore you are very close to winter sports places like Winterberg or Willingen with its famous Ski Jumping World Cup.
